From Dust to Dust
Regenerative Aesthetic
Art is a reflection of the society that creates it, and in today’s capitalist world it often becomes entangled with overproduction, waste, and environmental impact. In this project, I explore a more sustainable approach to art-making. I use Blender and Unreal Engine to create digital sculptures, and TouchDesigner to visualize concepts of sustainability. I believe art still has the power to inspire change—shifting us toward more responsible ways of living and creating. Guided by the idea of “From Dust to Dust,” I focus on using sustainable and biodegradable materials, especially when designing urban sculptures that interact with the environment.

Future Urban Sculpture Design
This project is inspired by an ancient Chinese poem that speaks of flowers returning to the roots that once nurtured them—a metaphor for reciprocity and renewal. Through digital sculpture and environmental storytelling, I explore how public art can coexist with nature rather than dominate it. Using a degradable, time-based approach to form, the work challenges the permanence of traditional monuments and reimagines urban sculpture as a living, evolving presence within the landscape. My goal is to encourage a more ecological mindset in public art, where creation is not separate from the environment but part of its cycle.
